Speech transcription runs locally on your device. Your transcript text is sent to Endquote's API for cleanup when automatic polish is enabled. We do not sell personal information.
What Endquote processes
Endquote records audio only when you start dictation. Speech transcription runs locally on your device. The transcript text is sent to Endquote's API for cleanup before the polished text is inserted into the active app.
Audio
Your audio does not need to be uploaded for transcription. Audio is processed locally by the desktop app so Endquote can produce the initial transcript.
Transcript text
Transcript text may be sent to api.endquote.app for punctuation, formatting, filler-word removal, tone, and other cleanup steps. This is necessary for the automatic polish feature.
Account and billing information
If you create an account or subscribe to a paid plan, we process the account details needed to provide the service, manage usage limits, process billing, prevent abuse, and provide support.
Diagnostics and support
We may collect limited diagnostic information such as app version, platform, error details, and usage counters to keep Endquote reliable and to help troubleshoot support requests.
How information is used
We use information to provide Endquote, run automatic cleanup, authenticate accounts, manage subscriptions, prevent abuse, improve reliability, and respond to support requests.
Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with service providers who help operate Endquote, such as hosting, billing, analytics, and support providers, or when required by law.
Retention
We keep information only for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain business records.
Your choices
You can stop using Endquote at any time, cancel a subscription from your account, and contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information where applicable.
